# How to Upload a Vintage Story Save to Your Server

You can transfer a single-player Vintage Story world to your server by uploading the save file and setting the server to load it.

Before replacing your current world, stop the server and create a backup from the **Backups** section.

## Step 1: Locate Your Save

1. On your computer, press `Win + R`.
2. Enter `%appdata%` and press **Enter**.
3. Open the `VintagestoryData` folder.
4. Open the `Saves` folder.
5. Locate the world save you want to transfer.

## Step 2: Upload the Save

1. Log in to the game panel at `gamepanel.fourseasonshosting.com`.
2. Open your Vintage Story server.
3. Go to the **Files** section.
4. Navigate to `data` > `Saves`.
5. Drag the save file from your computer into the `Saves` folder.
6. Wait until the upload has completely finished.

## Step 3: Set the Server to Use the Save

1. Return to the server's main directory in the file manager.
2. Open `data` and then open `serverconfig.json`.
3. Locate the `SaveFilelocation` setting.
4. Change its value to the exact filename of the save you uploaded.
5. Save the configuration file.

## Step 4: Start the Server

Start your Vintage Story server.

The server will use the save specified by `SaveFilelocation` and load your uploaded world.
