Setting Up Bluemap

Before proceeding with the guide, make sure to download the Bluemap plugin/mod from here

. Ensure it’s compatible with your server’s version!

  1. Stop Your Server: Go to the Game Panel and stop your server.

  2. Install Bluemap: Navigate to the “Files → /plugins” folder (for plugins) or “Files → /mods” folder (for mods), depending on your server type. Drag and drop the downloaded Bluemap file into the appropriate folder. Start your server to generate the necessary files.

  3. Create a New Port Allocation: Once the files are generated, stop the server again. Go to the “Network” tab and click the “Create Allocation” button to generate a new port. Save this port number, as you’ll need it for Bluemap’s configuration.

  4. Configure Bluemap:

    • Locate the Bluemap configuration file. If you installed a plugin, it will be in the “/plugins/Bluemap” folder. For a mod, it will be in the “/config/Bluemap” folder.

    • 4.1: Open the core.conf file and change accept-download: false to true on line 12.

    • 4.2: Open the webserver.conf file and update the port: value on line 18 to the port you created in the network tab.

  5. Start Your Server: Restart your server and allow some time for it to render chunks. Once ready, you can access the live map by visiting: http://yourserverip:bluemap_port

Game Panel Proxy Setup

If you’re running a Minecraft server with Four Seasons Hosting, we’ve streamlined the process for setting up a reverse proxy for Bluemap. With just a few clicks in the Game Panel using the Proxies Manager tool, you can easily configure everything. We handle SSL certificates and all the necessary configurations for you.

  1. Set Up a DNS Record: Create a DNS record for your custom domain to point to your server’s IP address. If you’re using Cloudflare, ensure the proxy status is set to DNS only.

  2. Access Proxies Manager: Go to the Proxies Manager tool and click the “Create Proxy” button.

  3. Configure the Proxy: In the Source field, enter the domain you set up in step 1. In the Allocation field, input the allocation you created for Dynmap during the installation process. Then, click “Create”.
