How to change MOTD for a Minecraft server

Learn how to change your Minecraft server’s Message of the Day (MOTD) to customize the message players see in the multiplayer server list.

  1. Access your server from the gamepanelarrow-up-right

  1. From the left side of the panel, open the Config Editor tab and select Server Properties.

  1. Enter your desired text in the MOTD property and press save.

  1. Restart your server.
