Minecraft server voting allows players to support your server on public server-list websites while receiving rewards in-game. This setup uses two plugins:
  • NuVotifier receives and verifies votes sent by voting websites.
  • VotingPlugin processes those votes and handles player rewards.
If your network uses a proxy, NuVotifier should generally be installed on the proxy rather than directly on the backend server. Refer to the NuVotifier setup documentation for proxy configurations.

Install NuVotifier

Without a proxy, NuVotifier can be installed directly on your Minecraft server.
  1. Log in to the game panel at gamepanel.fourseasonshosting.com.
  2. Open your server and stop it from the Console page.
  3. Navigate to Files and open the plugins directory.
  4. Upload the NuVotifier JAR.
  5. Start the server and wait for it to finish loading.
  6. Stop the server again so you can configure the plugin.
  7. Open Network and create an additional allocation.
  8. Copy the port assigned to the new allocation.
  9. Return to Files and open plugins/Votifier.
  10. Open config.yml.
  11. Locate the port setting and replace its value with the port from your new allocation.
  12. Save the configuration.
  13. Start the server.
NuVotifier is now ready to receive connections from voting websites.

Install VotingPlugin

VotingPlugin manages the voting system on your server, including vote tracking and player rewards. Download the plugin from its Spigot page.
  1. Stop your Minecraft server.
  2. Open Files and enter the plugins directory.
  3. Upload the VotingPlugin JAR.
  4. Start the server and allow the plugin to generate its configuration files.
  5. Stop the server again.
  6. Open Files and navigate to plugins/VotingPlugin.
  7. Open the generated configuration file.
  8. Configure the plugin according to your voting setup.
  9. Save your changes.
  10. Start the server.
Note: VotingPlugin does not require a separate network allocation just to process votes. NuVotifier is the component that needs to receive connections from external voting sites.

Configure Vote Sites and Rewards

After both plugins are installed, add the voting websites you want players to use. The VotingPlugin VoteSites guide explains how to add voting sites to the plugin. You can then configure the items, commands, currency, or other rewards players receive when they vote. The VotingPlugin rewards documentation covers the available reward configuration.

Add Your Server to Voting Websites

The final step is registering your server with the voting sites you want to use. Each website has its own registration process, but you will generally need to provide information such as:
  • Server Address: The address players use to connect to your server.
  • Voting Port: The port assigned to NuVotifier.
  • Public Key: The NuVotifier key used to verify incoming votes.
The exact location and name of these settings can vary depending on the NuVotifier version you are running.
Security: Never share your NuVotifier private key or other server secrets publicly. Only provide the information specifically requested by the voting website.

Test Voting

Once your server has been added to a voting website, submit a test vote. Check the server console and VotingPlugin’s data to confirm that the vote was received and the configured reward was delivered. If the reward does not arrive, check the following:
  1. The voting website is using the correct server address.
  2. The NuVotifier port matches your additional network allocation.
  3. The voting website has the correct NuVotifier public key.
  4. The vote site is configured correctly in VotingPlugin.
  5. NuVotifier and VotingPlugin are both enabled without errors in the server console.
