You can transfer a single-player Vintage Story world to your server by uploading the save file and setting the server to load it. Before replacing your current world, stop the server and create a backup from the Backups section.

Step 1: Locate Your Save

  1. On your computer, press Win + R.
  2. Enter %appdata% and press Enter.
  3. Open the VintagestoryData folder.
  4. Open the Saves folder.
  5. Locate the world save you want to transfer.

Step 2: Upload the Save

  1. Log in to the game panel at gamepanel.fourseasonshosting.com.
  2. Open your Vintage Story server.
  3. Go to the Files section.
  4. Navigate to data > Saves.
  5. Drag the save file from your computer into the Saves folder.
  6. Wait until the upload has completely finished.

Step 3: Set the Server to Use the Save

  1. Return to the server’s main directory in the file manager.
  2. Open data and then open serverconfig.json.
  3. Locate the SaveFilelocation setting.
  4. Change its value to the exact filename of the save you uploaded.
  5. Save the configuration file.

Step 4: Start the Server

Start your Vintage Story server. The server will use the save specified by SaveFilelocation and load your uploaded world.
