Minecraft operator permissions, commonly referred to as OP, give a player access to powerful administrative commands. Depending on the server configuration, an operator can change game modes, manage players, issue bans and kicks, and perform other server administration tasks. Only grant OP permissions to players you trust.

Grant OP Through the Server Console

You can assign operator permissions directly from the game panel without needing to already have OP in-game.
  1. Log in to the game panel at gamepanel.fourseasonshosting.com.
  2. Open the Minecraft server you want to manage.
  3. Make sure the server is running and the player has joined the server at least once.
  4. Open the Console page.
  5. Enter the following command, replacing username with the player’s exact Minecraft username:
  6. Press Enter to run the command.
  7. Check the console output for confirmation that the player has been granted operator status.
The player can now use commands that require operator permissions while connected to the server.

Remove Operator Permissions

To revoke OP access from a player, run the following command from the server console:
Replace username with the Minecraft player’s exact username.
