Add Add-ons to your Bedrock Server!
Downloading Your Server's World
Before you can install add-ons into your existing Bedrock world, you'll need to download it locally from your server. Follow these steps:
1. Access your control panel and stop your server. 2. Connect to your server files via FTP; we recommend using Filezilla. 3. Navigate to the /worlds/ folder. 4. Download the folder of your desired world.
Installing Addons to Your Existing World
After successfully downloading your server's world folder, you'll need to place it in your local world saves directory. Keep in mind that you won't be able to edit a Bedrock World in-game if the world folder's name contains special characters. Here's how to proceed:
1. Press Win + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog. 2. Enter the following file path in the Run window: %localappdata%/Packages/Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe/LocalState/games/com.mojang/minecraftWorlds 3. Place your server's world into this folder. 4. Launch Minecraft Bedrock, and go to your Worlds page. 5. Click the Edit button next to your newly downloaded world. 6. Select the Behavior Packs and Resource Packs button. 7. Under My Packs, activate your desired add-ons.
Re-Uploading Your Server's Modified World
Once you've finished installing add-ons to your world, you'll need to re-upload it to your server. Here's how to do it:
1. Access your server files via FTP, preferably using Filezilla. 2. Navigate to the /worlds/ folder. 3. Rename your server's unmodified world folder (if needed). 4. Upload the modified version of your server's world folder. 5. Access your control panel and start your server.
