Banning, Kicking & Unbanning Players on Your Hytale Server

When someone needs to be removed from your server, you can kick or ban them by
console command or through the Player Manager. You must be an operator (OP) to
use these commands.

By Console Command#

Open the Console tab and type the command without a slash:
ActionCommandNotes
Kickkick <username>Removes the player now; they can rejoin.
Banban <username> [reason]Blocks the player until unbanned. The reason is optional. Accepts a UUID as well as a username.
Unbanunban <username>Lifts the ban so they can rejoin.
Examples:
kick Steve
ban Steve Griefing_spawn
unban Steve
In-game instead? You can run the same commands in chat with a slash
(/ban Steve ...) — but you must be an operator first (see Giving Admin
Permissions
).

By Player Manager (No Commands)#

Your panel's Player Manager tab can manage bans through the UI:
View current bans and add or remove a ban directly.
Manage the whitelist and player permissions from the same place.
This is handy for unbanning offline players or reviewing who's banned without
touching the console.

Reviewing Bans in the File Manager#

Every ban is recorded in a file you can inspect:
1.
Open the File Manager.
2.
Open bans.json in the server root.
3.
This lists each banned player along with details (reason, timestamp, ban type).

Notes#

Kick vs Ban: a kick is temporary (they can come right back); a ban keeps them
out until you unban.
Offline players: use the player's UUID with ban if they aren't
currently online (find it in the Player Manager).
Must be OP: these commands fail for non-operators. Grant OP first if needed.
