Uploading Your World to a Hytale Server

You can move a world you've played locally onto your FSH server by uploading its
folder through the File Manager.
Match versions: a world from a different game build may not load. Keep the server
on the same branch/version as the world's source.

1. Export the World From Your Game#

1.
In the Hytale client, go to Worlds, right-click your world, and choose
Open Folder.
2.
That opens your local Hytale data. Go into Universe → Worlds.
3.
Find your world folder (the default is usually named default) and compress it
into a .zip.
(Optional — keep your characters/progress) In the same local Universe folder,
also zip the players folder.

2. Upload to the Server#

1.
Log in to the FSH Panel and stop the server.
2.
Open the File Manager and go to:
universe/worlds
3.
Delete the existing default world folder (or whichever world you're replacing).
4.
Upload your world .zip, then right-click it and choose Unarchive.
5.
(If you exported players) go to universe/players, remove the existing
player files, then upload and unarchive your players archive there.
6.
Start the server.
No config changes are required — Hytale loads the world from the folder structure.

Troubleshooting#

World didn't load: Confirm the unarchived folder sits directly under
universe/worlds (not nested inside an extra subfolder), and that you removed the
old default.
Won't start after upload: Usually a version mismatch — match the server's
branch/version to the world's source.
Old characters showing: You didn't replace universe/players, or you replaced
it with mismatched data — re-check that folder.
