Giving Admin (Operator) Permissions on Your Hytale Server

Making a player an operator (OP) grants them admin permissions. You can do it
by console command (works whether or not the player is online) or through the
Player Manager UI.

Step 1 — Find the Player's UUID#

Operator is granted by UUID. The easiest place to get it on FSH:
1.
Log in to the FSH Panel.
2.
Open the Player Manager (Players) tab.
3.
Find the player — their UUID is shown under their username. Copy it.
Don't include the .json part — copy only the UUID itself
(e.g. 34ef6c2d-13be-3de0-ba01-6bca1d9af96b).

Step 2 — Grant Operator#

Option A — Console command#

1.
Open the Console tab.
2.
Run:
op add <UUID>
Replace <UUID> with the value you copied. On success you'll see
<UUID> is now an operator!.
If the player is currently online, you can use their name instead:
op add <username>.

Option B — Player Manager (no command)#

In the Player Manager tab you can also assign a player to the OP
permission group through the permissions UI, which has the same effect as the
command.

Removing Operator#

op remove <UUID>
(Or remove them from the OP group in the Player Manager.)

Notes#

UUID vs username: Use the UUID for offline players; a username only works
while they're connected.
Don't copy .json. Player files are stored as <uuid>.json — the file name
minus .json is the UUID.
Operator = full admin. Only give it to people you trust. For finer-grained
control, use permission groups in the Player Manager instead of full OP.
